Many birds including toucans, three types of monkeys, sloths, iguanas and the majestic Blue Morpho butterfly call this area home. One of our favorite times of the day is at dusk when the sounds of the day critters transition to the sounds of the night.

A gas grille on the deck is the perfect way to cook all of the fresh fish, chicken and vegetables that are available from the farmers market in town. Kitchen, Dining, Bedrooms & Bath: Our kitchen is tastefully designed with teak cabinets, granite countertops and quality stainless steel appliances.

All expected small appliances are provided including an ice maker. A very complete set of utensils, pots and pans will make creating your own meals a delight.

A breakfast island and wet bar for four invite you to linger and share a laugh or two with friends. The Guanacaste wood dining table has seating for six.

A remote controlled, A/C unit plus ceiling fans assure a comfortable nights rest. Individual private covered decks with large sliders bring the outside in and give you a quiet place to sit and read or to enjoy the sounds and sights of the rainforest.

Each of the two full baths are finished with sandstone floors and shower enclosures. Teak counters, vessel sinks, rainfall shower heads and mood lighting complete the rooms.

Our House Manager: Our house manager is a fifteen year resident of the area and the owner of a local tour booking company. 'Wavy' Dave can book a local tour, activity or charter fishing boat for your enjoyment.

Guiones is for beginners of all ages from 5-80 years . The beginners do all their learning surfing in the whitewater of the shorebreak with no rocks or reef.

There are 3 surf schools next to and a short walk from us-- including Corky Carroll's Surf School next to us; and Juan Surfo's Surf School and a well-stocked surf store 175 yards north just past the Gilded Iguana. Within `200 yards of us and an easy walk are many fine-dining and casual restaurants,shops,bars, a sophisticated communications center (=Nosaranet and with DVD rentals and used book exchange ),and Patti's upscale well-stocked Grocery Air-Conditioned Mini- Mart with fresh produce,vegetables,Tico Times newspaper,etc.

FF's Manager Antonio has caught many large fresh Guiones Lobsters for many of our small and large Guest families. He and Guests fish on his Guiones boat(Panga) for Tuna(Atun),Snapper(Pargo),etc.

His family owns a local Fish market one mile away in Esperanza-town. PRIVATE CHEFS: Maria &staff can serve as your Breakfast chefs,etc ; Schedule with Antonio & Maria when you arrive ; Guests buy the groceries and pay chef/chefs $5/hr directly for cooking/clean-up.
