The grassy lawn areas would provide a wonderful place for weddings and receptions. There is plenty of parking along the fence line and in the front driveway.

In the back is a deck surrounding a pool for leisurely swims and sunning. You can sit and enjoy the natural beauty of the forest and listen to the sounds of nature with the birds in the day and the frogs at night.

Close to Lava Flow viewing, black sand beaches: Pele's Garden Palace is only a few miles to the current lava flow viewing site, and just a few more miles to the newly forming Kalapana black sand beach and the Kehena Black sand beach (clothing optional), where the locals love to swim with the dolphins. The scenic Red Road will take you to Isaac Hale Park where the surfers love to ride the waves, and a few more miles down the road you can soak in a geothermic-heated hot pond.

Colorful, historic Pahoa Village is just 5.5 miles away and provides exceptional dining in several restaurants, including Mexican, Italian, Thai and American.

The Volcanoes National Park is about 40 miles from the house. You can view waterfalls in Hilo, just about 38 miles away and beyond (less)
